Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

A homemade version of Reese’s peanut butter cups, these are seriously good and very sweet. These bars make great gifts – I made a whole bunch for my friends around Christmas time.


Make sure you cut into them while the chocolate is still fluid. If you wait until the chocolate has cooled and set, the chocolate layer will crack when you try to cut the bars. (I learned that the hard way!) The best is to cut through them periodically while the chocolate is setting: just take them out of the fridge once in a while and run the knife through them.

I haven’t tried this myself, but lining the botttom and sides of the pan with parchment paper is a good idea.
